Are You Sure Who's Got Your Back?

Check this then this.

Now let's get into the proper perspective; Reuters is a news agency company. It wouldn't surprise anyone if I said that such a company depends on the timely flow of information. As such, getting their messaging system down might represent thousands of dollars worth of lost revenue. Or, in Reuters own words:

"... the ability to communicate efficiently with your customers and colleagues is more important than ever. Now, Reuters brings instant messaging to the global financial community, providing a seamless flow of information between you and your customers, businesses partners and employees. That means information gets to the right people at the right time..."

And they continue on to say:

"Reuters Messaging is a secure, high-performance instant messaging service for the financial industry. ...

Reuters Messaging is an 'industrial-strength' application providing high levels of security and encryption. ..."

It's so funny, it... It isn't, actually. Now I wonder, will Microsoft restitute Reuters of revenue lost whilst their system was down?

The information soldier knows mercenaries' and pirates' loyalties are to the almighty buck...
