You should know me by now.
I'm a staunch advocate of Free and Open Source Software, or F/OSS for short. I am also trying go against the current and sell the idea of F/OSS for use by the Government of Puerto Rico. I must say, that I've had little success so far.
But, I've been wondering lately just how much open source software is being used, right now, by the Government of Puerto Rico. In order to quell this puzzlement I will arm myself with two of the most trusted and well known sites on the net Google (no link needed, isn't it?) and Netcraft.
You see, I think the question isn't whether or not the Commonwealth uses F/OSS, but rather how soon until the people at the top realize that the people in the trenches know about this technology... (wonder of wonders!)
And would also ask of you, my dear (if admittedly scarce) readership; do you know if your friendly neighborhood public entity uses F/OSS?
If you do know, leave a nice message.
The information soldier calls for information... (chuckles)
