Alive!

Reports of my death were not greatly exaggerated...

It's two in the A.M., and I miss the nurses. Not only them but also the needles, the cold, the hard bed, the small TV. But not the fear, the fear isn't gone. I'd be crazy not to have any, really.

You see, two weeks ago my wife got me to the hospital, mainly because of high fever. I developed some interesting complications during my stay. Some were not surprising, like high blood sugar, low heart pressure...

And then, I got a stroke...

Please, do not be overly concerned. I am well, although the events have had certain consequences. I'll tell you everything this week, while I regain the use of both my hands and their respective arms...

One last thing... I can only give some heartfelt thanks to everyone who wished me well through the blog, e-mail, phone, prayer, etc.
